I have been reflecting lately on the more simpler times in my life. Marriage and family seem to complicate things. I wouldn't change it for the world, but things that used to be easy, like grocery shopping and going to the library and going to sleep, have become more difficult.
I often think about high school days when YM/YW on wednesday nights were my biggest worry. (if I had only known *_*) The days, and nights, spent crying into my pillow or to my parents about how some click at church or school had been mean to me or that some boy didn't like me or I had to face yet another surgery. How often it seems we become wrapped up in our daily life and forget about the big picture. If I could go back in time, with the knowledge I have now, worrying would be the last thing I would do. School would be my main focus. Living life the the fullest and just having fun.
To all of those who have this opportunity, ENJOY it. Savor it. When you find "the one" spend time with them and not worry about marriage and family. Love eachother (without relations) and become best friends. This way when the years go by and the kids grow up and all your kindergarten friends are gone, you'll still have your friendship to nurture your love.
Not that this blog is my "woe's me" sound board, It just feels better to get it out of my heart and into space.

Sibling-full weekend & week TO BE!
Oscar is sooooo excited! Jenn and Trish and their kids are coming to town for the weekend and staying for like 10 days! He's super thrilled to be able to spend time with his sisters!
AdaBelle wakes up every morning and says "I want to see Twish and Gab and David and Mayee and Penny." It's really cute. She's ready to see all of her cousins. Yesterday she got mad because we told her she couldn't go to Thomas' house, he was moving and we'd have to wait and hang out with him a little later in the year. "I'm gonna wun to Thomas'. and I'm takin the boy with me!" She's such a little sassy pants! :)
Dont think I'm not excited to see the girls' too! It's just Oscar is feeling a bit homesick with 4 of his 5 siblings in different places. He's ready for us all to be back together!
I guess he thinks one day we'll all live in one big mansion in the country with a bunch of dogs and tons of kids and ice cream and a little brook beside the rolling, lush, green yard with a stand of oak trees in the distance and a tire swing... oh, the dreams we have!

"Remember When"
This is fun!
Here are the directions:
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty cool (and funny) to see the responses.
If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. :)

September
Not a whole lot has been going on in our family. AdaBelle and The Boy have been really enjoying eachother lately. They chase eachother around our house and laugh and laugh and laugh. They both are into cars and farm animals and dinosaurs, they love their baths and food. Both of them are moochers and we love it!
This past week I have been planning Oscar's first birthday party. It has been fun, but really kinda sad for me. Knowing he's the baby and our last 1st birthday ever. Makes me cry. His b-day isnt until October 26th, but the ONE year is a big deal. I want everything to be fun and exciting!
Here are some pictures of AdaBelle and The Boy through his 1st year:
ps: pics not posting; have to try again tomorrow.

June & July
Update from June and July: There really isn't much to tell about whats going on so far, actually. Oscar has gotten used to the new hours he's working. It actually works out well for us as a family because we don't have to get a babysitter for 3 days in the week. Oscar gets to play Mr. Mom. He secretly likes it though. :)
At the beginning of July "the boy" started cruising around the furniture and by the middle of that same week he started letting go and walking on his own. But when he fell, he had to crawl over to something to stand back up and be on his way. AdaBelle liked helping him walk from place to place. "I help the boy walk!" and she would clap whenever he would fall because he would give this big 2-tooth grin and laugh a big belly laugh. It would tickle her.
Oh, I started selling Park Lane jewelry in July. I found that I loved their products, so I started selling them to get lots of free stuff. :) It's nice to get out and be with people my own age and chat about age-appropriate things instead of sittin around watchin Dora, or the Wonder Pets, or the Little Einsteins, or Toy Story, or The Jungle Book, or Cinderella. Don't get me wrong, we're a very active family, arts and crafts, playing tag, swimming, starting a band of pots and pans (their favorite!). So we do other activities than watching T.V., but when we do watch it, it's those shows.
So I also have an obscessian with on-line shopping so my co-worker and VERY CLOSE friend, Jereamy made this poster for me. I think it's really cute!!!
I guess that's about all for this update, hopefully it won't be 3 months before we update again.

Family Portraits

Well the other week our little family had portraits taken. I thought it was going to be a good thing since we had never had them done professionally before. However, I guess I didn't factor in that we have a 24 month old and a 5 month old. It was insanely terrible. AdaBelle threw her first fit. It was embarrassing. We got some good shots, but not near enough for what we paid for. Hope ya'll enjoy them. We gave the printed ones away for Mother's Day gifts in cute little wooden frames. (I always try to do a picture for holidays and such).
Since this time AdaBelle has thrived on fit-throwing and enjoys telling us "No" or "I go ask Daddy now. I go ask THE BOY now. I go ask Didi now".... whoever is not telling her what to do. But it's fun.
for those of you who have multiple children; I honor and pray for you daily. :)
Love ya'll!
